Learn Science with El Chavo
As part of the strategic goals for 2010-2020, Televisa Foundation set to broaden the array of its educational platform: Learn with El Chavo with a new development called Learn Science with El Chavo, originally planned to be a co-production with National Geographic.
As a Product Manager I was in charge of guiding the project, assuring its completion, and making sure the learning goals were at the forefront of the design. I prepared a roadmap that included content design, development, as well as marketing and promotion. Because Televisa Foundation is part of Grupo Televisa, S.A.B., these apps are heavily publicized on commercial TV in Mexico and the US (through Univision) the product manager is also in charge of supervising the completion of the promos.
For this new app, focusing on science, I recommended Dr. Violeta Garcia, a “nationwide STEM education leader, committed to using meaningful and engaging learning experiences to advance underserved students who are historically underrepresented and underserved in STEM fields" as the subject matter expert. Once again, Washa Washa was the winner of the bid for the design and development of the project.
